A: Butler's Van der Hum; a South African (Boer) liqeuer

A: Sangue Morlacca; literally "Blood of Morlacca"

A: On of my Japanese collegues gave me a tipple of Shochu Koji while on a biz-trip to Tokyo two years ago...

4. Is sapinette a drink , sauce , a utensil , a flower , a type of sweater you wear in the winter , or a type of tree in French?
A: Sapinette is a Spruce Tree, and may also be a woman's name

5. What is the French slang word meaning to peck at food?
A: The only thing that comes to mind here is "bec", (beak of a bird)... Obviously, I need to brush up on my French...

Good Afternoon, Steve;

I wish I could remember the name of the Shochu Koji I had... of course, even if I did, I don't think I could render the Kanji here. As I recall, it didn't taste of sweet potatoes; it was rather viscous, and had a complex flavor, almost like a brandy, in a slightly sweet aftertaste kind of way.
